I'm working on an old writing project that is, weirdly, practically begging to be re-written in first person. I almost never write in first person, and I'm just questing for opinions on it. While I used to read a lot of first person YA stories (*coughAnimorphsStillRockscough*), it doesn't seem to have a very good reputation. Like I've heard of people browsing in a book store and putting books down if they're told in first person. Any thoughts on this? Do you like first person, or hate it? Why? And do you have any examples of first person done really well? I'm going to try and write the story as well as I can in whatever POV feels right in t

Recommend some books to me? Specifically sci-fi, specifically sci-fi in space. I can't seem to find many in my library, but maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. I also like modern fantasy. But seriously, any books you've read that have just made your jaw drop recently, or that you remember for something great. I'd really appreciate it. Here's some I'll recommend to you, just so we're even :). Listed as I remember them. 1) Good Omens, by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett 2) The Man Who Was Thursday, by G.K. Chesterton 3)The Princess and the Goblin, by George MacDonald. Or Lilith, if that's more your thing. 4)Cloud Atlas, by David

you comment about dogs, was quite offensive.
Thanks for clearing that up! I was quite confused at first. For the record, I love dogs :)
I see.
A few months back, there is a troll called ~Rannna who really hated dogs, and even said cats are super underrated! (The truth is, cats arent underrated at all.)
Heck, she was going to post a picture of her cat killing a dog! Thank god she didn't.
Thank you for the great resources :)
woooow where did you go? It has been ages since I've seen anything from you on here. Did you move on to other things or something?
